Tassimo puts the cap in Cappuccino

The Tassimo single cup hot beverage machine not only makes a great cup of coffee but also can brew up an authentic Cappuccino, Latte, Hot Chocolate, or Espresso. The brewer’s “Smart Technology” includes the ability to know what product you are brewing and how to do it best. This is accomplished by the bar-coded lids on the top of each product or “T Disc“. The Tassimo’s built in scanner reads the coded T Disc and sets the brew temperature, time, and amount of water for the best quality drink. Now, in the case of a Cappuccino or Latte you will use two T Discs. One contains the coffee and the other liquid milk which will give you the frothy top. The Tassimo can even give you a little extra in the morning when you need it most with Gevalia’s Morning Roast Coffee, you get a larger cup (12 ounces) of fresh brewed coffee.

Coffee: a Historically Diplomatic Drink

In her new book, Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin writes that if she and current Secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton were to talk over coffee, “I know that we would fundamentally disagree on many issues,” but that she Respects Clinton because of, “her hard work on the 2008 campaign trail.”

When asked about this portion of Palin’s new book, Clinton responded that she would be happy to meet the former Republican candidate and talk over some of those points of disagreement.

Coffee is the world’s most popular beverage. With consumption at 400 billion cups every year, it’s the world’s second most popular commodity after oil. With its universal appeal, coffee has become not only a delicious drink, but also a social experience and even a diplomatic one.

What could bring two political adversaries together for a friendly chat? Only a steaming cup of coffee.

Coffee Linked to Decreased Risk of Prostate Cancer

A newly released study suggests that drinking coffee will reduce a man’s risk of prostate cancer later in life. In cases where coffee drinkers do exhibit signs of prostate cancer, the cancer is less severe than non-coffee drinking counterparts. The members of the study who were the highest coffee-consumers showed an 89% decreased risk of lethal or advanced prostate cancer than the members of the study who drank no coffee.

Researchers have stated that they do not believe the correlation is between caffeine and the decreased risk, but some other element of coffee. In the past, researches have faced barriers in trying to study the causes and treatments of prostate cancer because there are very few lifestyle habits that show any correlation to the presence of cancer. If further research confirms the coffee link, history will be made in the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer!
